5 Steps to Preparing for an Electric Vehicle Home Charger

1. Decide on a Charging Type (AKA Charging Level)

Most electric vehicle home chargers fall into one or two categories: Level 1 or Level 2. This is the main difference that Roslyn drivers should know:

• Level 1 is the same as the normal outlets you use every day, but it takes days to charge an EV this way.
• Level 2 is equivalent to a 240V dryer plug and lets you fully charge most EVs overnight or get a decent amount of top-off over the course of the day.

2. Ready Your Garage
