Lexus Auto Show Highlights
Lexus went above and beyond at the 2023 New York International Auto Show this April (. At their exhibit, guests were able to use AI software to generate images of the Lexus RX 350 and RZ 450e in a setting that was only limited to the scope of their imaginations. Once a guest submitted their prompt, one of the new Lexus models would appear on a 98-inch screen in a landscape of their own devising. All of this was to tell a story about the brand’s commitment to incorporating AI into their design ethos.
In fact, Lexus developed this exciting exhibit in collaboration with Toyota Connected North America (TCNA). Headquartered in Plano, Texas, this software center develops machine learning technology for both the Lexus and Toyota brands. TCNA used Generative AI models like ControlNet and Stable Diffusion to develop their AI-powered exhibit. In fact, they trained these AI architectures on over 500 images of each model to develop a nuanced palette for the guests to create their art with!
Last year, the exhibited included a course from the Lexus Performance Driving School. Guests who completed the course were awarded an NFT that contained performance data and much more. Needless to say, Lexus is striving to distinguish itself as a brand well ahead of the curve.
