2023 Lexus RZ 450e Charging Time

When it’s time to recharge your Lexus RZ 450e, you can plug it in either at home or on the go! There are three total levels of charging–Level 1 and 2 are available from home, and Level 3 is available at public fast-charging stations. 

• Level 1 charging utilizes the same three-prong outlet that charges everything from your smartphone to your microwave, making it by far the most convenient form of charging for your Lexus. However, since these outlets usually power much smaller things than SUVs, it’s also the slowest form of charging. The charge time for Level 1 is usually multiple days, making it typically a last-ditch option for drivers.
• Level 2 charging is the most common form of home charging used by EV drivers. A Level 2 charging station has to be professionally installed in your garage by an electrician, but once installed it will bring your battery back up to full charge in about half a day. Level 2 charging is ideal for plugging in your RZ 450e before bed and having it ready to go for your commute the next morning.
• If you need to quickly add a lot of miles onto your SUV when you’re out and about in Manhasset, you’ll want to find a public charging station that offers Level 3 charging. Level 3 charging (also called DC fast charging) can get you from 0% to 80% in as little as 30 minutes! Keep in mind that exact charging times vary based on circumstance, but Level 3 is by far your fastest option and a great choice if you need to top off your battery outside the house.
